What is OCA optical Adhesive?
OCA (Optically Clear Adhesive) is a special adhesive used to bond transparent optical components (such as lenses, etc.). It is required to be colorless and transparent, light transmittance above 90%, good bonding strength, can be cured at room temperature or medium temperature, and has the characteristics of small curing shrinkage.
In short, OCA is an optically transparent layer of special non-substrate double-sided adhesive.
basic information
OCA optical glue is one of the important raw materials for touch screens. It is made of optical acrylic adhesive without a substrate, and then a layer of release film is attached to the upper and lower bottom layers. It is a double-sided adhesive tape without a substrate. It is the best adhesive for touch screens.
Its advantages are clarity, high light transmittance (total light transmittance>99%), high adhesion, high weather resistance, water resistance, high temperature resistance, UV resistance, controlled thickness, uniform spacing, and long-term use Will not produce yellowing (yellowing), peeling and deterioration problems.
OCA optical adhesives are divided into two categories, one is resistive and the other is capacitive. Resistive optical adhesives can be divided into 50um and 25um according to their thickness. Capacitive optical adhesives are divided into 100um and 175um. , 200um, 250um.
OCA optical glue can be used in different fields according to the thickness. Its main uses are: electronic paper, transparent device bonding, projection screen assembly, aerospace or military optical device assembly, display assembly, lens assembly, resistive touch screen G+F +F, F+F, capacitive touch screen , panel, ICON, glass and polycarbonate and other plastic materials are used for bonding special adhesives for transparent optical components (such as lenses, etc.). It is required to be colorless and transparent, light transmittance above 90%, good bonding strength, can be cured at room temperature or medium temperature, and has the characteristics of small curing shrinkage. Silicone rubber, acrylic resin, unsaturated polyester, polyurethane, epoxy resin and other adhesives can all bond optical components. Some treatment agents are usually added during formulation to improve its optical properties or reduce curing shrinkage. Suitable for various films and screens (acrylic, glass screen, touch screen, etc.) around the display of fixed and mobile devices.
advantage
1. Reduce glare, reduce the loss of light emitted by the LCD, increase the brightness of the LCD, provide high transmittance, and reduce energy consumption;
2. Increase the contrast, especially the contrast under strong light;
3. The surface connection has higher strength;
4. Avoid Newton's rings;
5. The surface of the product is smoother;
6. Without borders, expand the visible area;
how to choose
1. The thickness and hardness of the bonding material
2. Whether to bond the ITO layer
3. Whether to bond PC, PMMA
4. Do you need to fill the ink layer?
5. Aging resistance requirements
Application type
A soft substrate is laminated to the soft substrate
Roll-to-roll/roll-to-sheet laminating equipment is more mature
Two soft substrates are laminated to hard substrates
Single-chip lamination generally requires positioning accuracy. According to accuracy requirements, manual lamination may be used
Three hard substrates are laminated to hard substrates
Generally, CEF is the most difficult to laminate and cannot be manually applied. Equipment types: vacuum laminating machine, roller laminating machine
